As someone who has struggled with her weight for most of her entire life (I joined weight watchers at 11 years old) I know what it feels like to have a completely dysfunctional relationship with food and with my body. After becoming a professional dieter, and losing and gaining weight like it was my job, I was done. Done beating myself up. Done starving. Done binging. Done putting the keys to my self-worth inside a pair of skinny jeans. I spent years reprogramming my brain and finding ways to accept myself for who I am and what I look like, regardless of what the number on the scale said. I immersed myself in the body positivity movement and it saved my sanity. I finally learned to love myself – fully. I felt better, like I could breathe again.

But at the same time, I knew I wasn't my fully being my best self if I was overweight, and on the road to putting myself at risk for disease. Not to mention, not feeling entirely confident in my skin. Yes, I loved myself. But I didn't love my reflection because I knew, deep down, it wasn't me. Being 100% honest here.

And then recently it hit me – you CAN be body positive. You CAN love your body. And STILL want it to be leaner, stronger, smaller, and healthier. You can love your body, and want to make it better.

I had made “weight loss” a dirty term because I thought wanting to lose weight meant you didn’t love yourself. And that’s completely untrue.

What a revelation.

And we all know a good revelation leads to a revolution…

In this episode, I'm sharing how I gained a completely NEW perspective on weight loss, and have already lost over 10 pounds in 3 weeks in the most positive, effortless way possible.

I'm so thrilled to have one of my girl crushes, Lori Harder, on the podcast today! Lori is the host of the Earn Your Happy podcast, and her brand new book A Tribe Called Bliss comes out TOMORROW! (May 8).

In this raw and soul-filled chat, Lori shares with me the importance of building true female friendships, why we need tribe, and how to heal the pain of our pasts. We also talk about stepping into our full potential as women and the loneliness that sometimes comes with growth. This is one of my FAVORITE interviews, so be sure to tune in.

Be sure to grab Lori's book on Amazon or in book stores everywhere, and enter to win a FREE copy here: http://www.loriharder.com/freebook/
