If you've ever wondered what goes on "behind the chair" then you're in for a treat! In this episode, I chat with Terra Harvell, six-figure stylist, salon owner and educator, and founder and CEO of Harper Ellis Hair Co. Terra candidly shares why she's had to learn to fall in love with fear on her journey as a beauty entrepreneur, the importance of cultivating a strong community, and how she juggles it all as a multi-passionate business owner.
Terra has built a flourishing business behind the chair for nearly a decade and has turned her craft into a six-figure income. Her impressive resumé includes being the Founder and CEO of Harper Ellis Hair Co and owner of Salon Five Zero Four in Fort Smith, Arkansas, but she hasn't stopped there. After mastering the artistry of the business, Terra quickly realized you must provide the FULL package in order to be an industry leader. Cue The Harper Ellis Hair Co. Academy! Her Academy has educated hundreds of stylists digitally and in cities such as Fort Smith and Nashville. Not only has she educated on her exclusive hand-tied luxury hair extensions method, but she has also shared her knowledge of all things business and marketing that led her to becoming a six-figure stylist. Her dream is to share her valuable knowledge in hopes that it will help other stylists find as much success as she has found!
As the saying goes, "messy bed, messy head" and it could not be more true. Think about the last time you tidied up your home. Didn't it feel amazing? Yet so many of us never take the time to declutter, organize, and make our homes feel like the sanctuaries they should, and could be. In this game-changing episode, I talk to Mary and Margaret from Sort + Sweet home organizing about the steps you can take right now to get your home in order so you can feel more productive, energized, and peaceful.

Welcome to the brand new season of Style Your Mind! I'm back with a fully recharged vibe, breathing new life into the show, and bringing you even more value. In today's episode, we'll reflect on the past year, think about how we want to show up in 2021, talk about social media (and why we all need a major break from it), and more. I hope you love this conversation!
When was the last time you had a difficult conversation? Did you feel confident in the way you expressed yourself?
When was the last time you shared your views on something without second-guessing yourself or worrying about what someone else thought?
When was the last time you spoke up in a meeting, set a clear boundary with someone, or asserted yourself in an uncomfortable situation?
Many women struggle with using their voice. Some research suggests that women apologize when we really should be direct because we worry about coming off as rude, or hurting someone's feelings. According to a study in the journal of Psychological Science, women have a much lower threshold for what constitutes offensive behavior. In turn, this causes us to apologize more - even when we should be assertive.
In this short but powerful episode, I’m going to share some tips on how to get crystal clear about who you are, what’s important to you, and how to put it all out there without the fear and without the guilt.

I LOVE getting dressed up. To me it's an art. Now more than ever, I have been super intentional about the way I get up and get dressed each day. Because we are in quarantine, it can be a challenge to get out of our pajamas or sweatpants, but let me tell you, putting on a fabulous outfit with all my vintage accessories completely transforms my mood. I feel more productive, creative, and inspired. And to be honest it has saved my sanity over the past few months.

Today I'm bringing you an encore episode that I feel really strongly about sharing again. It's my conversation with my friend and peer, Amanda Frances. Amanda is my most-frequent guest, I've never had anyone on the show 3 times before, so this is a big deal. She is a self-made multi-millionaire, thought leader, business coach, self-proclaimed "money queen" - and most importantly, a good friend of mine who I respect and admire very much.
I decided to share this episode again because I feel like now more than ever, we are in a time where people are looking at their lives — and at whether their relationship with money and the dynamics at play in their finances do or don’t serve them, feel good to them, or work for them.
Get a notebook because you're going to want to take notes for this one! Enjoy!
